The family of Loren Proefrock invites you to an
open house in honor of his 90th birthday on Saturday, April 23,
2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Friendship Manor, 925 Primm
Road, in Lincoln. Please enter the Manor Dining Room through the
side door.

Cake and light refreshments will be served. Please, no gifts.
Loren was born on May 1, 1926. He married Clara “Darlene” Reiss on
February 12, 1949, in Altamont. Darlene passed away in September of
2005.
They have four sons: David (Vicki) Proefrock, Dean (Traci Talsma)
Proefrock, John Proefrock, and Jim (Marlo Welshons) Proefrock; eight
grandchildren: Amy Wallace, Sarah (Jason) Lorek, Jessica (Brandon)
Payne, Benjamin (Nichole) Proefrock, Monica Proefrock, Ann Proefrock,
Edythe Welshons, and Eleanor Welshons and eight great-grandchildren:
Brandon Wallace, Kyle Wallace, Nicholas Lorek, Daniel Lorek, Ella
Payne, Liam Payne, Finnigan Proefrock, and Aurora Proefrock.

Loren served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He worked at
several Farm Services Company locations in Illinois after his
discharge from the service. Loren brought his family to Lincoln in
1968 and went to work for Illico Oil Co. He retired from Illico in
1995. Loren and Darlene were also very involved with the Logan
County Fair where he was a board member for many years serving as
Secretary-Treasurer.
