The event saw 18 teams participate with Lincoln being the lone
junior college in the field.
Lincoln shot a team score of 318 (+30) and finished in a tie for
13th. Millikin University's A team finished first with a score of
280 (-8).

Lincoln's Jordan Nelson led the way for the Lynx with an even par 72
which placed him in a tie for seventh place overall. Nelson finished
the day with five birdies including back-to-back birdies on the
par-5 first hole and the par-3 second. Nelson also ran in
back-to-back birdies on the back side including the par-4 12th and
the par-5 13th.

Hunter Bettis followed up with an 80 including one birdie on the
par-4 tenth hole which put him in a tie for 55th place.
Hunter Leach was one shot behind Bettis and finished with an 81,
tying for 65th place. Leach birdied the par-5 16th hole.
Cody Curry entered the clubhouse with an 85 (tied for 85th), and
Peter Greening shot 91 to complete the Lynx' team score.
The Lynx will be back on the course on Wednesday, April 27 in a dual
match with Eureka College at El Paso Golf Course. Tee times are
scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Note: Oak Brook
Golf Club is adjacent to the exclusive, private, invitation-only
Butler National Golf Club where the PGA Western Open was played from
1974-1990. Due to the heavy rains in the Chicago area, the 1987
Western Open was played on both Butler National and Oak Brook
Country Club. ISU-grad D.A. Weibring won the event in 1987.
