Obituary
Anita Snead, 80, of Lincoln passed away at 4:14 am
on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at her home in Lincoln.
Anita was the daughter of Meta “Dorothy” Snead and
Lyle “Ted” Snead of Washington. Anita was born March
31, 1936. Anita was proceeded in death by her
mother, Dorothy on October 13, 2010, her father Ted
on July 7, 1992, and her sister Ruth Lange. Anita is
survived by several great nieces and nephews. Anita
is also survived by the other individuals who lived
at her home who considered her “grandma.”
Anita lived most of her life in Lincoln at Lincoln
Developmental Center before moving to a CILA with
CTF ILLINOIS in Atlanta then in Lincoln. Anita
attended Logan Mason Rehab Center on State Street in
Lincoln many years before retiring and staying home
in 2013. Anita was a member of Faith Lutheran Church
in Lincoln. Anita loved going to the park, sewing,
eating cheeseburgers, and working from home. Anita
loved spending time with her family and friends at
her house, and she will be deeply missed by all that
loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Anita at 1415
4th St in Lincoln, IL on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at
4pm. Ernie Harvey, Jr Safe Haven Hospice Chaplin
will officiate the service.
