Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to
4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the
church's parking lot, at the corner of
Eighth and Maple streets.
 The
public is invited. All ages are welcome to
join in the games, snacks, songs, stories
and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all
for free.

How to
live the Christian life practically!
It’s something grownups
and kids alike struggle to get right! During April our kids will be
DISCOVERING what it means to live for Jesus in their families.
Sometimes all goes smoothly in our families, but then there are
those other times! As we look at what the Bible has to say about
Family Life, we will explore themes of obedience, sharing, prayer,
and peace. Our key verse for April is “Love each other with genuine
affection.” Romans 12:10
Moms and Dads, here’s what we will be exploring if you want to talk
about it with your kids at home! Children, Obey Your Parents—Obeying
God by Obeying Our Parents. Ephesians 6:1-4. Andrew Brings His

Armed Forces Sunday - May 1
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Minier
The church
service starts at 8:30 a.m. at the church located at 101 E
Garfield, Minier
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Minier will be
celebrating with grateful hearts all who have, and continue
to, serve our country with an Armed Forces Sunday on May
1st.
The congregation is inviting the community to help in
honoring our military by wearing patriotic clothing. Those
who have served in the past are also asked to wear their
uniforms if possible.
After the church service, a special presentation will honor
current and past members of the military who are also
members at Good Shepherd Lutheran.
Lunch will be provided, and a RSVP is requested to ensure
there is enough food for everyone.
Information will be available about the Land of Lincoln
Honor Flight program.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has partnered with Operation
Gratitude for a collection drive to send items to troops
overseas. Items we are collecting are socks (not white), lip
balm, non-aerosol deodorant, moist towelettes (individual
packets), hand and foot warmers, individually packaged
razors, pen, and pocket-sized water resistant notebooks.

offering will be received for Cunningham Children’s Home in
Urbana, a ministry supported by United Methodist Women.
Following the breakfast, Rachel Wagner and Hannah Meriensk,
local violinists from Delavan, will present a program of
inspirational music.
This year’s breakfast will consist of homemade French toast,
ham, fruit, assorted coffee cakes, and a drink.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY PROVIDES HOPE TO FAMILIES IN LINCOLN

Tenn. — More than 2.5 million families have positively changed their

The nine-week course provides families and individuals with
