San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy was hospitalized in Miami
on Monday after feeling ill and will be kept overnight for
observation, the team announced Monday.
Bochy, 61, will not attend Monday's game against the Miami Marlins,
and Ron Wotus will act as the Giants manager for the game.
"This morning, Giants manager Bruce Bochy was admitted to the
University of Miami Hospital after feeling ill," the Giants said in
a statement. "He is being checked at the hospital and will be
monitored overnight. He is resting comfortably and is expected to
return tomorrow."
In February 2015, Bochy had two stints placed in his heart, although
it is unclear whether this hospitalization is related to that.

injury since late June, has resumed baseball activities hoping for a
return to the mound this season.
Kershaw played catch Sunday at Dodger Stadium for the first time

Kershaw has not pitched since June 26 because of a mild herniated
disk. The Dodgers and Kershaw are hoping to avoid surgery.
Kershaw was moved to the 60-day disabled list last week and is not
eligible to return until Aug. 27.
