[August 09, 2016]  LINCOLN - Vivian Dahmm De Valdes of Lincoln has been named the July employee of the month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Valdes is a registered nurse in the perioperative services department at ALMH.

Valdes was nominated by her co-workers in the acute care department in recognition of her work as a true team player. During a recent time of high census, Vivian offered her assistance. Her nomination reported that, “she had a great attitude. She would finish one request and come back to ask for more ways to help.”

Valdes has worked for ALMH since 1982 with brief times spent in Memorial Medical Center’s surgery department. She enjoys her duties because they are different each day. While she is frequently involved in orthopedic cases, she also works with general surgeries, pain injections, cataract surgeries, and more.

“ALMH is a great place to work. We care about our patients. The people we see in the halls and care for are our neighbors, the same people we see out shopping, in our churches, and in our neighborhoods. They don’t have to drive out of town to get excellent care,” said Valdes.
