Valdes was nominated by her co-workers in the acute care department
in recognition of her work as a true team player. During a recent
time of high census, Vivian offered her assistance. Her nomination
reported that, “she had a great attitude. She would finish one
request and come back to ask for more ways to help.”
Valdes has worked for ALMH since 1982 with brief times spent in
Memorial Medical Center’s surgery department. She enjoys her duties
because they are different each day. While she is frequently
involved in orthopedic cases, she also works with general surgeries,
pain injections, cataract surgeries, and more.
“ALMH is a great place to work. We care about our patients. The
people we see in the halls and care for are our neighbors, the same
people we see out shopping, in our churches, and in our
neighborhoods. They don’t have to drive out of town to get excellent
care,” said Valdes.
