Aug 10 (The Sports Xchange) - A
torn knee ligament ended rookie inside linebacker Reggie Ragland's
season before it started, the latest hit to a heralded draft class
for the Buffalo Bills.
Ragland was injured in practice Friday and the Bills confirmed
Wednesday the Alabama product will have surgery for a torn ACL. He
is expected to miss the entire 2016 season.
Buffalo was already going to play at least half the season without
its No. 1 draft pick, Shaq Lawson, and now Ragland, drafted in the
second round, is off the depth chart until 2017.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham returned to the practice
field, marking a significant step as he attempts to work his way
back from a serious patellar tendon injury.
Graham, who was in full uniform on Wednesday, began training camp on
the physically unable to perform list after sustaining the injury
against Pittsburgh on Nov. 29.

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman returned to
practice one day removed from taking himself off the field after
having his surgically repaired left foot examined.
Edelman wasn't a full participant in practice, which was conducted
at half speed in the rainy conditions in Foxborough, Mass.

The Chicago Bears addressed their offensive line by signing Mike
Adams to a contract and waiving fellow tackle Nick Becton.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed for the 26-year-old Adams, who
started 20 of his 41 games over three seasons with Pittsburgh before
sitting out the entire 2015 campaign with a back injury.

The Detroit Lions signed free agent Rashaad Reynolds and waived
fellow cornerback Ian Wells.
Reynolds was on the reserved/injured list during his rookie season
with the Jaguars and spent the majority of 2015 as a member of the
team's practice squad.
Wells, who is a rookie out of Ohio University, sustained an apparent
knee injury during a 1-on-1 drill in Tuesday's practice.

The Indianapolis Colts waived inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera and
waived-injured running back Abou Toure.
If Toure clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts injured reserve
