Aug 21 (The Sports Xchange) -
New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis will need a second knee
surgery to repair his torn ACL and will be sidelined indefinitely,
according to reports Sunday.
A league source told the Boston Globe that it is more of a cleanup
surgery and is not believed to be a season-ending procedure.
The 5-foot-8, 195-pound Lewis likely will start the season on the
physically unable to perform list. Lewis tore his left ACL last Nov.
8 against the Washington Redskins.
Lewis participated in one session of organized team activities this
spring but began training camp on the PUP list.
Lewis joined the Patriots on a futures contract in December 2014,
and was a breakout star in seven games early last season with 622
yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns.
In addition, starting right tackle Sebastian Vollmer is likely
headed to injured reserve with a hip injury and second-year right
guard Shaq Mason has a broken hand, according to the Boston Globe.

The Seattle Seahawks signed fullback Will Tukuafu, bringing back a
versatile player who has contributed on offense, defense and special
teams over the past two seasons.
Tukuafu, 32, spent his first four seasons in San Francisco before
signing with the Seahawks in 2014.
Fullback Jonathan Amosa was waived to make room on the 90-man
roster.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Miller rejoins the Colts after being waived

undrafted free agent on May 3 before being placed on the team's
non-football injury list on July 26.

The Cleveland Browns signed wide receiver Josh Boyce and
waived/injured wide receiver Dennis Parks.
The 5-11, 205-pound Boyce was originally selected by New England in
the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of TCU. He spent most of
2016 with the Indianapolis Colts prior to being waived on Aug. 16.
Parks was signed by the Browns on May 20 as an undrafted rookie out
of Rice. He has been dealing with a knee injury. (Editing by Andrew
