[August 25, 2016]  WAYNESVILLE - Danny L. Bristow, 67, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 7:40 p.m..

Visitation:  10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Service: Noon on Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville

Obituary

Danny L. Bristow, 67, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 7:40 p.m..

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville, with Mr. Dave Taylor officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Waynesville American Legion.

Danny L. Bristow was born on October 18, 1948 in Lincoln, the son of Ralph and Polly Price Bristow. He was united in marriage to Shawn Sampson on April 20, 1985 in Waynesville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons: Trevor Bristow and Bryson Bristow, both of Waynesville; and two brothers: Billy Bristow of Missouri and Bobby Bristow of Clinton.

 

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Danny graduated from the McLean-Waynesville High School in 1967. He was employed at the Eureka Williams Company in Bloomington, and retired from Morton Industries in Morton.

Danny enjoyed many bass fishing trips with his friends and family. He was always trying to hook "the big one." He also enjoyed deer hunting.

He fought a courageous battle with cancer for 6 1/2 years.

Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fire Department or Waynesville American Legion Post.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
