[August 25, 2016]  MOUNT PULASKI - Cecil Ray Hummel, 89, of Mount Pulaski passed away at 7:45 A.M. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Visitation: from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral in Mount Pulaski

Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday August 24, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski

Obituary

MOUNT PULASKI - Cecil Ray Hummel, 89, of Mount Pulaski passed away at 7:45 A.M. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Cecil was born on November 26, 1926 in Hawsville, Kentucky, son of Cecil Ray and Roberta Bulter Hummel Sr. He married Dorothy Mae Sams on January 17, 1953 in Elkhart. She survives him.

Also surviving are two sons Steven Hummel of Mount Pulaski and Donald (Karen) of Mount Pulaski; seven Grandchildren; Michael, Ann, Jeremy, Kristin, Taylor, Nicholas, and Amanda, and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

Cecil was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball, Softball, was an Avid Cardinal Fan, and he enjoying RV Traveling.

 

Services for Cecil will be 10 a.m. Wednesday August 24, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral in Mount Pulaski. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Pulaski Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded.

Memorials may be made in Cecil’s name to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
