Obituary
Talona Marten, 38, of Lincoln passed away on
Wednesday, August 10, 2016. at Memorial Medical
Center, Springfield.
Talona was born July 23, 1978 in Lincoln, the
daughter of Gary (Kathy Shepherd) Osborne and Mary
(Jones) Osborne, who survive her. She married David
Marten on October 26, 2002 in Lincoln. He survives.
Talona is also survived by her daughters, Avalynne
Grace Marten and Tiffany (Matt) Cusey; sons: Braden
Marten and Preston Marten; brothers: Donnie (Dawn)
Osborne, Josh (Elizabeth) Osborne, Jeremy (Angie)
Osborne, Roger Bartlett, and Frankie Murphy; one
sister: Regina Miramontes; one grandfather: Paul
Osborne; father and mother-in-law: Lester (Ruthie)
Marten; brothers and sisters-in-law: Daniel (Nikki)
Marten and Damon (Jaimi) Marten; grandchildren:
Rylan Cusey, Eleanor Cusey, Kyly Manus, and Kenzly
Marten; many nieces and nephews, who knew her as
Aunt T, and her beloved yorkie: Ellie May. She was
preceded in death by her grandparents: Edgar (Mary)
Jones, Beatrice Johnson, and Marie Osborne, her
uncles: Jerry and James Jones, and her beloved pet
Luke.

Talona loved camping and spending time with her
family, especially taking Avalynne to the zoo. She
was a member of Lincoln Christian Church; she
devoted her life to Christ. She was the best mommy
to Avalynne and she devoted her life to her family.
She enjoyed working as a nurse for Dr. Carroll at
Springfield Clinic in Lincoln. She loved listening
to her dad singing in his band. Above all else
Talona loved her family.
Services for Talona will be held on Tuesday, August
16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lincoln Christian Church,
Lincoln with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will
be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016
also at the church. Burial will take place at
Harmony Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to
Avalynne Marten for her education fund and can be
mailed to Cefcu in Lincoln. Services are entrusted
to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
