Obituary
Thomas D. Hyde, 66, of Lincoln, passed away at 5:45
p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hyde will be held at 1:00
p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Mr. Adam Henderson will
officiate. Following the funeral, Tom will take his
final ride. All motorcycles are welcome. A
celebration of life at the Lincoln American Legion
Hall will conclude the day's services.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00
p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the
service.
Thomas Delmar Hyde was born November 2, 1950, in
Peoria, the son of Lionel E. Hyde, Jr. and Marilyn
M. Harvey Sisson.
Mr. Hyde is survived by his daughters: April (Tracy)
Matherly of Kenney and Katrina (Terry) Fouty of
Oblong; step-mother Joyce Hyde of Lincoln; the
mother of his children: Alicia Pimental Wells;
siblings: Jeff(Amy) Hyde and Joe (Rhonda) Hyde, both
of Lincoln, Steve (Ruth) Hyde of Beason, Tony
(Cheri) Rodgers of Washington, and Sharon Smith of
Pekin; four grandchildren: Alleya Williams, Trey
Williams, Justin Matherly and Karrissa Matherly;
four great-grandchildren; his dog: Jiggles and
grand-dogs: Brutus, Tucker and Kane; and many nieces
and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by three siblings: Jim, Margaret, and
Melanie; his parents; fiance Candice Bixler; step-father: Danny
Sisson; one brother-in-law: Gene Smith; and nephew Billy Watson who
was more like a son to him.
Tom attended Lincoln Community High School. He served our nation in
the United States Army during the Vietnam War, working as a
mechanic. Following his military service, Tom had worked as a heavy
equipment operator and had owned his own motorcycle repair shop,
Tom's Shop. Tom was a founder of Crawford A.B.A.T.E. of Robinson,
Ill., and a member of Salt Creek A.B.A.T.E., National Rifle
Association, Illinois A.B.A.T.E., Down Riders Association, and
Lincoln American Legion Post #263.
He held his girls in his arms and was surrounded by loved ones when
he departed this world to go be with God and all his loved ones who
had gone on before him.
Memorials may be made to Salt Creek A.B.A.T.E. and Humane Society of
Logan County.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of
Lincoln.
