FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Tom Brady became
the winningest quarterback in NFL history and the New England
Patriots improved to 10-2 with a 26-10 victory over the Los Angeles
Rams on Sunday.
Brady, who threw one touchdown pass, posted the 201st victory
counting the postseason in his pro career, breaking the tie he
created with Peyton Manning last week. Brady also picked up his
179th regular-season win, leaving him one shy of Manning and Brett
Favre (186 each) as the only quarterbacks with 180 victories.
LeGarrette Blount, who turns 30 Monday, romped 43 yards for a
touchdown. Brady hit Chris Hogan with a 14-yard touchdown pass in
the second quarter and Stephen Gostkowski kicked field goals of 28,
48, 45 and 45 yards again.
Seahawks 40, Panthers 7
SEATTLE -- Seattle hammered Carolina in a matchup of the two teams
that, combined, earned the NFC's past three bids to the Super Bowl.
Seattle running back Thomas Rawls rushed for 106 yards and two
touchdowns, part of 240 total rushing yards against a Carolina
defense that began the night as the NFL's second-best unit against
the run, allowing fewer than 80 yards per game.
But another potential playoff run for the Seahawks (8-3-1) may have
been imperiled with the fractured leg injury to Earl Thomas, a
five-time Pro Bowl selection who had missed his team's previous game
with a hamstring injury. He collided with teammate Kam Chancellor
while breaking up a pass early in the second quarter and was carted
off the field. Back in the locker room for an X-ray, Thomas tweeted
shortly before halftime that "A lot is running through my mind
including retirement."
Chiefs 29, Falcons 28
ATLANTA -- Eric Berry, who already had an interception return for a
touchdown, picked off an attempted two-point conversion pass from
Matt Ryan in the fourth quarter and raced 99 yards to lift Kansas
City over Atlanta.
The Falcons had just taken the lead on a 5-yard TD pass from Ryan to
Aldrick Robinson with 4:53 remaining when Berry stepped in front of
rookie tight end Austin Hooper and raced down the field untouched.
The Chiefs (9-3) also scored two touchdowns on fourth-down plays,
including a fake punt, as they stunned the Falcons (7-5).
Lions 28, Saints 13
NEW ORLEANS -- Matthew Stafford threw for 341 yards and two
touchdowns, including a clinching 66-yarder to Golden Tate in the
fourth quarter, and Matt Prater kicked five field goals to send
Detroit past New Orleans.
In winning for the sixth time in seven games, the Lions (8-4) took
control of the NFC North and dealt a critical blow to any playoff
hopes for the Saints (5-7). Detroit is seeking its first division
title since 1993.
Stafford completed 30 of 42 passes -- including a 1-yard flip to
running back Theo Riddick in the first half -- and also bought time
on several plays, picking up 22 yards on three carries, to keep the
Saints' defense off balance. Prater kicked field goals of 27, 29,
32, 27 and 52 yards -- the most of his career in one game.
Ravens 38, Dolphins 6
BALTIMORE -- Joe Flacco threw for 381 yards with four touchdowns and
Baltimore snapped Miami's six-game winning streak.
The Ravens (7-5) won four of their past five matchups and remain
atop the AFC North. The Dolphins (7-5) were looking to win eight
straight games for the first time since 1985 but dampened their
playoff hopes instead.
Flacco completed a franchise-record 36 passes to 10 different
receivers with an interception.
Packers 21, Texans 13
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- A gimpy Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay slipped past
Houston at snowy Lambeau Field.
Rodgers, who was questionable with a hamstring injury and clearly
limited on a treacherous field, went 20 of 30 for 209 yards and two
touchdowns. He directed back-to-back scoring drives of 98 and 89
yards in the second half to snap a 7-7 tie.
The victory kept the Packers (6-6) alive in the NFC North. The
Texans lost their third in a row and fell into a first-place tie
with Tennessee at 6-6 in the AFC South.
Broncos 20, Jaguars 10
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Denver forced Jacksonville quarterback Blake
Bortles into three turnovers, including an interception that was
returned for a touchdown, and held on to win.
The win moved the Broncos (8-4) ahead of Miami for the sixth spot in
the AFC playoffs. The loss eliminated the Jaguars (2-10) from
playoff contention for the ninth straight season.
The game changed on the third possession of the third quarter with
the Broncos leading 10-3. Looking for receiver Allen Robinson on
third-and-4, Bortles was hit by outside linebacker Von Miller as he
released his pass, which floated to cornerback Bradley Roby, who
returned it 51 yards for a touchdown

Bengals 32, Eagles 14
CINCINNATI -- Andy Dalton, playing without Pro-Bowl receiver A.J.
Green, passed for 332 yards and two touchdowns and Mike Nugent
kicked four field goals, lifting Cincinnati over Philadelphia.
Brandon LaFell had five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown for the
Bengals (4-7-1) who snapped a three-game losing streak to keep their
fading playoff hopes alive.
The Eagles (5-7) started the season 3-0 but now have lost eight of
nine. Carson Wentz overcame a rough first half to pass for 308 yards
and a touchdown, but he also had three interceptions -- two by
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Bears 26, 49ers 6
CHICAGO -- Jordan Howard ran for 117 yards and three touchdowns as
Chicago snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over San
Francisco.
With a steady snow falling throughout the game, Howard anchored the
Bears' offense, which produced 19 straight points while sending the
49ers (1-11) to their 11th straight loss.
The Bears (3-9) grabbed a commanding 21-6 lead by reaching the end
zone on the first two second-half possessions. Howard's 5-yard
touchdown run finished off a 59-yard drive in which quarterback Matt
Barkley and Josh Bellamy connected on a pair of long completions
that led to Howard's third rushing touchdown. Barkley finished the
day 11-of-18 passing for 192 yards.
Cardinals 31, Redskins 23
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Carson Palmer passed for three touchdowns,
including a 42-yarder to J.J. Nelson, and Arizona held off
Washington at University of Phoenix Stadium.
With the victory, the Cardinals (5-6-1) avoided losing their third
straight game for the first time under Bruce Arians. Washington
(6-5-1) lost its second straight but still has a better shot of
making it to the postseason than Arizona.
Palmer finished 30 of 46 for 300 yards with the three touchdowns
with no interceptions. Redskins QB Kirk Cousins was 21 of 37 for 271
yards with one passing touchdown, one rushing score, a fumble and an
interception.
Raiders 38, Bills 24
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Derek Carr threw for 260 yards and two
touchdowns, and Oakland came from behind to score 29 unanswered
points and defeat Buffalo at the Oakland Coliseum.
The Raiders won their sixth straight game and improved to 10-2,
their best start since 2000 when they opened the season 10-2 and
reached the AFC Championship Game. The Bills (6-6) lost in Oakland
for the ninth straight time as their playoff hopes took a huge blow.
Buffalo hasn't won at the Coliseum since 1966.
Michael Crabtree caught seven passes for 74 yards and one touchdown
for the Raiders. Latavius Murray carried 20 times for 82 yards and
two touchdowns. LeSean Murray rushed for 130 yards on 17 carries and
caught six passes for 47 yards for Buffalo. Tyrod Taylor completed
18 of 35 passes for 191 yards and no touchdowns with one
interception. Mike Gillislee rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
Steelers 24, Giants 14
PITTSBURGH -- Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes, and
Pittsburgh took advantage of repeated early mistakes to end New
York's six-game winning streak.
Roethlisberger found Antonio Brown for 22 yards and tight end
Ladarius Green for 20 yards on scores to outplay Giants QB Eli
Manning, who spent most of the first half backed up against his own
end zone.
The Steelers (7-5) won their third in a row after dropping four
straight.
Buccaneers 28, Chargers 21
SAN DIEGO -- Tampa Bay rallied in the second half to defeat San
Diego.
The Buccaneer (7-5) won their fourth straight game. The second loss
in three contests for the Chargers (5-7) dealt a severe blow to
their slim playoff hopes.
The Bucs' Jameis Winston completed 20 of 30 attempts for 280 yards,
a touchdown and an interception. Philip Rivers was 15 of 26 for 225
yards, two scores and two second-half interceptions for the
Chargers.
