[December 05, 2016]    Dec 4 (The Sports Xchange) - The Los Angeles Kings activated forward Andy Andreoff from injured reserve on Sunday.

 

Andreoff, 25, has missed 15 games this season due to an upper-body injury sustained on Oct. 30 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He appeared in nine games this season with the Kings, going scoreless with eight penalty minutes.

Selected by the Kings in the third round of the 2011 NHL draft, Andreoff skated in 87 career NHL games, collecting 13 points (10 goals, three assists) and 102 penalty minutes.

To make room on the 23-man roster, forward Teddy Purcell cleared waivers Sunday morning and was assigned to Ontario of the American Hockey League.

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled goaltender Lars Johansson from the Rockford IceHogs and assigned forward Nick Schmaltz to the American Hockey League affiliate.

Johansson, 29, has a 6-7-1 record in 16 games for Rockford with one shutout, a 2.63 goals-against average and .911 save percentage. The Swedish native spent the previous three seasons with Frolunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League, posting a 56-27-0 record with 11 shutouts in 93 games.

Schmaltz, 20, recorded one goal, three assists in 26 games with the Blackhawks this season. The American made his NHL debut on Oct. 12.

The Arizona Coyotes assigned center Laurent Dauphin and defenseman Anthony DeAngelo to the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.

DeAngelo, 21, registered two goals and five assists in 11 games with the Coyotes. DeAngelo was selected in the first round (19th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2014 draft.

Dauphin, 21, drafted in the second round in 2013 (39th overall) had a goal and an assist in 18 games with the Coyotes. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
