Christian Carnival on Sunday from 2:30 to
4:30 p.m. The activities will be on the
church's parking lot, at the corner of
Eighth and Maple streets.
The
public is invited. All ages are welcome to
join in the games, snacks, songs, stories
and more fun -- and win prizes, too -- all
for free.

December 18th, 2016—Choir Cantata
The Christmas Cantata this year will be “Joy!” by Joel
Raney. Joy! tells the story of Jesus’s birth through
gospel music. The music will feature the choir and several
soloists and will be accompanied by an instrumental
ensemble. Scripture readings on the theme of joy are
interspersed throughout. The cantata will be presented on
Sunday, December 18th at the 10:00 a.m. worship service.
What is more joyful than the good news of Christ’s birth and
what sounds more joyful than gospel music? Plan to attend
this joyous service!
December 21st—A Blue Christmas Service of Comfort, Loss, Love
& Hope, The holiday season is hard for some of us. You are not
alone. This service will provide time and space, through song and
readings from Scripture, for God’s people to reflect on the sadness
this time of the year can invoke, while also remembering that God is
there, and that light will soon return. Everyone is invited. No one
is left out.
Traditionally centered on the Winter Solstice [12/21—the longest
night of the year] our service will be held on Wednesday, December
21st, 2016 @ 7 p.m. A FREE supper will be served at 6:00 p.m.
December 24th, 2016—Christmas Eve Service: Candlelight and
Carols First Presbyterian Church will have their candlelight
Christmas Eve service at 7pm. Please join us as we celebrate through
