Highlights of National Hockey League games on Wednesday:
Flyers 4, Avalanche 3
Roman Lyubimov and Brayden Schenn scored goals 1:46 apart early in
the third period, and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Colorado
Avalanche 4-3 on Wednesday for their 10th straight win.
Wayne Simmonds and Michael Del Zotto also scored, while Steve Mason
had 26 saves for Philadelphia.
The winning streak is the Flyers' longest since 1985.
Matt Duchene had two goals and Rene Bourque scored for the
Avalanche, who have lost six in a row at home. Calvin Pickard
stopped 21 shots for Colorado.
Penguins 4, Bruins 3 (overtime)
Bryan Rust scored in overtime to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 4-3
home win over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday for their season-high
seventh win in a row.
The Penguins (20-7-3) also have won a season-best sixth straight win
at home, where they are 13-2-1.
Boston (16-12-3) has lost four of its past five.
The Penguins broke a 2-2 tie midway through the third period on
Conor Sheary's first power-play goal of the season.
Boston answered when David Pastrnak caught goalie Matt Murray out of
the crease and scored into a gaping net to make it 3-3 and send the
game into overtime.
It was Pastrnak's 19th goal, second behind the Penguins' Sidney
Crosby in the NHL.
Sharks 4, Senators 3 (shootout)

Kevin Labanc was the only scorer in four rounds of a shootout as the
San Jose Sharks defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-3 for their second
win north of the border in 24 hours.
The Sharks also beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in a shootout Tuesday.
Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns and Chris Tierney scored for the Sharks
(18-11-1) in regulation. Bobby Ryan, Kyle Turris and Dion Phaneuf
replied for the Senators (16-11-3).

Lightning 6, Flames 3
Alex Killorn had two goals an assist to lead Tampa Bay over Calgary
at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Brian Boyle, who had gone 13 games without scoring, also had two
goals for the Lightning, who ended a three-game losing streak.
Braydon Coburn and Andrej Sustr also scored for Tampa Bay, while
Victor Hedman and Valtteri Filppula chipped in with three assists
each.
Troy Brouwer and TJ Brodie finished with a goal and an assist each
for the Flames, whose winning streak ended at six straight games.
Micheal Ferland also had a goal for Calgary.
