Wade scored just two points in the first half, but caught
fire in the second half and scored 14 points to hit her career
high, so far, in high school varsity basketball action.
Mount Pulaski led all the way in this one with a halftime score
of 33-17 that left little doubt if the Lady Hilltoppers could
keep it together, they would come away with the victory. They
did indeed as the entire team stepped up and played solid ball
at both ends of the court and the result was a lot of names in
the scoring column as Coach Eric Leever’s team won 59-31.
The Lady Hilltoppers are off until Monday night, when they
travel to take on Argenta-Oreana. The JV game will start at 6
p.m. and the Varsity will follow at 7:30 p.m.
