PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice of Proposed Property Tax Levy for the City of Lincoln, Illinois

I. A Public Hearing to approve a proposed tax levy increase for the City of Lincoln, Illinois for 2016 will be held on Thursday, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 700 Broadway Street, Lincoln, Illinois 62656.

Any person desiring to appear at the Public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Susan K. Gehlbach, City

II. The corporate and special purpose taxes extended or abated for 2015 were $1,611,257.

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2016 are $1,561,257. This represents a 3.103% decrease
over the previous year.

III. The property taxes extended for debt service for 2015 were $165,445.

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for 2016 are $ 172,500. This represents a 4.264% increase from the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2015 were $1,776,702.

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2016 are $1,733,757. This represents a 2.445% decrease over the previous year.
