- R. Wayne Kendrick, 90, of Lawndale passed away at 4:50 a.m. on
Thursday, December 22, 2016 at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

A private family graveside service will be held at a
later date.

Obituary
R. Wayne Kendrick, 90, of Lawndale passed away at
4:50 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at The
Christian Village in Lincoln.
Wayne was born on June 25, 1926 in Lawndale, the son
of Herbert Raymond “Ray” and Lillian (Naugle)
Kendrick. He married Virginia Fort on March 14, 1953
in Lawndale.
Wayne is survived by his wife, three sons, David
(Kathy) Kendrick of Minier, Wendell (Debbie)
Kendrick and Paul Kendrick both of Lincoln, one
daughter Julie (Dan) Bobb of Lincoln, five
grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents and one sister
Janice Altman.
Wayne proudly served his country during WWII in The
U.S. Army Infantry. Wayne was a lifetime member of
The Lincoln American Legion Post #263. As well as a
lifetime member of D.A.V. Wayne retired from the
Operating Engineers Local #965.

A private family graveside service will be held at a
later date at Lawndale Cemetery, Lawndale. Memorial
donations may be made in Wayne’s name to The
Christian Village.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
