Kayla Rennee Horney Mehan, 27, of Lincoln, passed away December 14, 2016, at St John's Hospital, Springfield.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

A memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Kayla was born November 4, 1989, in Lincoln, the daughter of Michael Horney and Tammy (Jackson) Byrne. She was a CNA and was formerly employed at Symphony of Lincoln. She enjoyed makeup, coloring her hair in a variety of colors, music, and being with her children.

 

Surviving are her parents Michael Horney of Lincoln, Tammy (Chad) Byrne of Lincoln; her children Ariyan and Adahlia Mehan, and her siblings Amy (Jerome) Thines of IN, Serena (Kyle) Livingston of FL, Tabitha Horney (Dustin Adams) of Lincoln, and Rachel (Bo) Buckley of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
