On Tuesday, Illinois State Representative Tim Butler dropped in to visit with students at Lincoln Junior High School. He visited with the 7th grade boys basketball team and also visited with teacher Sue O'Hara's 7th grade history class.

In the classroom, he answered questions including, has he ever been a guest at the White House. Butler said that he had visited the White House. In fact, he said on the day he was there the Chicago Bulls were also visiting. So, in addition to meeting with the President, he also had the opportunity to shoot some hoops with his home-state team.

Catholic School in Lincoln has announced the February Students of the Month. Each month teachers select two students from grades first through fourth and two students from grades fifth through eighth to receive Student of the Month Awards. Students are chosen based upon Christian attitude, cooperativeness, courteousness, self-discipline and effort.

The February students of the month are first-grader Izzak Winebrinner, fourth-grader Ashtyn Janssen, fifth-grader Addison Rumer and eighth-grader Cody Adams.

On Tuesday, Illinois State Representative for the 87th District, Tim Butler, paid a visit to the Lincoln Junior High School. While there he visited with the 7th grade boys basketball team, congratulating them on their recent win of the 7th Grade Regional Championship.
