The two Lincoln teams, having won their respective Regional
Titles, battled for the Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes 8 1-A
Sectional title.
This was the fourth time these two teams faced one another, and
as before, the Wolverines (20-2) proved too much as they secured
a State Tournament birth with a 53-28 victory.
Kaden Froebe led all scorers with 14 points and added 5 assists
while Kameron Whiteman also tallied five assists to go along
with his 11 points. Joe Dalpoas (8), Justin Long (7), Payton
Anderson (4), Patrick McCraith (3), Dreyden Poszgai (2), Jackson
Bell (2), and Zach Fuller (2) also scored in the win.
Alex Janssen led the Crusaders with 11 points while Dylan
Singleton added 6. Carroll ends the season with a record of
13-12.
WLB moves on to the Elite 8 with a 10:00 a.m. game vs.
Bloomington Cornerstone Christian Academy (16-5) at Bartonville
Limestone High School.
Coaches wish to thank the Lincoln Rural Fire Department for the
escort back into and through the town to the school.
