LINCOLN
- Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital provides a free support group
for people with diabetes mellitus. The group typically meets the third
Friday of the month but the February meeting will be on the fourth
Friday, February 26 in the Wombacher Room at ALMH.

The casual group meetings are free and do not require registration.
Jennifer DiPasquale, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes
educator, leads the group. “The diabetes support group is a great
opportunity to get practical and timely information about how to
manage your diabetes,” DiPasquale said. Family members, friends and
caregivers are also welcome to attend the meetings.
In 2010, an estimated 25.8 million people or 8.3 percent of the
population had diabetes. In Logan County, 9.9 percent of residents
have been diagnosed with diabetes.
