- Russel D. Craig, 72, of Waynesville, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on
Friday, February 12, 2016, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in
Bloomington surrounded by his loving family. |

Monday, February 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta
Service:
Tuesday, February 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home

Obituary
Russel D. Craig, 72, of Waynesville, passed away at
12:30 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016, at OSF St.
Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington surrounded by
his loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February
16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home in Atlanta. Rev. Becky Barrow will
officiate.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 15,
2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
Cremation Rites to be accorded.
Russel Dale Craig was born November 12, 1943, in
Normal, the son of Fred A. and Hazel I. Pleines
Craig. He married Rose Anne Fox on August 12, 1967,
in Lincoln. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Susan (Greg Kleen)
Craig of El Paso and Beth Craig of Waynesville; one
sister: Carol (Steve) LaDew of Waynesville; two
brothers: Wayne (Judy) Craig of California and Kenny
Craig of McLean; and one grandson: Nolan Yochum. |
Russel was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother:
Alan Craig.
Russel was a 1961 graduate of McLean-Waynesville High School. He
service in the United States Army from 1965 - 1971. Russel
retired from Caterpillar in Decatur in 1993. He was a member of
Waynesville American Legion Post #1189, Waynesville United
Methodist Church and UAW Local #751.
Memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic for Colorectal
Research, Waynesville American Legion Post #1189, Waynesville
Fire & Rescue, or an organization of the donor's choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home of Atlanta.
