LINCOLN
- Logan County Arts will present “Calling All Artists II” in March.
The exhibit will open at the Lincoln Art Institute gallery with a
reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10.
Logan County Arts had an enthusiastic response to its March 2015
open-easel "Calling All Artists" show, and is again inviting any and
all artists to take part in the sequel, Calling All Artists II.
Artists who have already committed to the show represent a variety
of styles and mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture
and poetry.

Exhibit organizer Mitch Douglas has planned a true celebration of
art to welcome new artists to the Art Institute. The opening night
reception will feature refreshments catered by Heather Cosby of
Flossie & Delzena’s Gourmet Grind & Gifts and live music sponsored
by Seth Goodman and ME Realty, Joe Ryan with COUNTRY Financial, and
Ron Knollenberg with Knollenberg Real Estate.
From 5 to 6 p.m. the duet of Maureen Douglas and Tanya Conrady will
fill the gallery with the sweet melodic tones of the Celtic harp.
Douglas and Conrady have played at the Elkhart Chapel for over 20
years and are well known to Logan County music lovers.
The gypsy jazz trio Deuxième featuring Lincoln musicians Jeff Arbisi,
Allen Mendez and
Derrick Spiker will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Deuxième played
during the Corks and
Courses dinner held during last summer's Art in the Park festival.
