Obituary
Stephanie Dumas, 65, died Tuesday February 2, at
Hidden Lake in St. Louis, Mo.
She was the third daughter of Donald Nelson, and
Rosa Korbe Dumas, born on June 26, 1950 in
Lafayette, IN.
She graduated with a nursing degree from Lakeview
Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Danville IL
and went on to get her physician's assistant degree
through a program at Penn State University in
Hershey, Pa.
She lived and worked in Pittsburg, for twenty five
years, until ill health brought her back to St.
Louis a year and a half ago to be closer to her
family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is
survived by her life partner of 20 years, Ron
Preisach of North Carolina, two sisters in Lincoln;
Deborah Short, (husband Paul) and Annette Gettleman,
and sister Julie Griffith of St. Louis MO, one
niece, Elizabeth Short Anceria, (husband Alyx) of
Oak Park, one nephew Patrick Gettleman, (wife
Shanna) of Williamsville, two great nieces Lauren
and Mikenna, and one great nephew, Evan all of
Williamsville.
Her wishes were to be cremated. A family celebration
of her life will be held at a later date.
