[February 22, 2016]  HENRY - Margaret G. Hodge, 96 of Henry passed away at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Nursing Home, Lacon.

Visitation:  10 a.m. to 11;30 a.m. Wednesday, February 17th at  St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Henry

Mass of Christian Burial :  11:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church

Obituary

HENRY - Margaret G. Hodge, 96 of Henry passed away at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Nursing Home, Lacon.

She was born January 29, 1920 in Henry, the daughter of William and Edith Apfel Merdian. She married Bernard Joseph Hodge on February 23, 1946 in Henry. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1995.

Surviving are five children, Sandra (Ralph) Turpen and Donna (Roy) Bays both of Henry, Rebecca (Robert) Johnson of Lincoln, and Catherine (Bruce) Johnson and Bill (Tina) Hodge both of Lacon; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Bernice Morris and Ora Mae Swift.

Margaret was a member of St. John XXIII Parish (St. Mary’s Church) of Henry. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Henry, with Fr. Tom Mizeur officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Henry. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MSW Projects of Henry, St. John XXIII Parish, or St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Lacon.

Calvert & Johnson Memorial Homes, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
