The
walls came tumbling down at the old Crossroads Motel
on Woodlawn Road in Lincoln on Tuesday. The motel
closed in 2015, and the property was purchased by
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Tuesday
afternoon, when asked about the future of the site,
Angela Stoltzenburg of ALMH responded, "our focus,
at this point, is to demolish the building and clean
up the site in the safest and most efficient manner
possible."

At the Tuesday night meeting of the
Lincoln City Council, Street Superintendent Walt Landers
said that snow is expected to move into Lincoln and be at
its heaviest mid-day. If the predictions are correct,
plowing may be needed, and if so will begin mid-afternoon to
early evening. Snow routes may be activated if snow exceeds
two inches of accumulation.
