Craig Named February ALMH

LINCOLN
- Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has announced Mark Craig of
Emden as the February Employee of the Month. Craig joined ALMH in 2014
as a sports enhancement specialist in the rehabilitation department.
Craig has been an exercise physiologist for 10 years and holds both
a master’s of science degree in exercise physiology and a bachelor’s
of science in exercise science.

In his current role, he works with cardiac and pulmonary
rehabilitation patients, coordinates the weight loss program, and
facilitates stress tests. On a daily basis, Craig provides guidance
on a variety of exercise programs and health maintenance activities.
He also helps coordinate the ALMH Run/Walk which takes place each
fall at Edward Madigan State Park in Lincoln. This year’s walk is
scheduled for October 8 at 9am.
“I am so proud to be part of ALMH, the people I work with are all
dedicated to helping our patients and we work well together. We
share our ideas and knowledge in order to get the best possible
outcome for every patient and I see that throughout the hospital.
It’s amazing and very humbling to be part of the ALMH team,” said
Craig.
Craig was nominated by a grateful patient who noticed Craig’s
dedication.
“He is helpful, kind, caring, and personable. He not only helps you
with the exercise equipment but explains the benefits and make
suggestions for your own personal exercise needs,” said his
nominator.

Craig has been married to Jennifer Craig for 14 years and they have one
daughter, Emily. In his spare time he enjoys exercising, working on his house
and yard, and watching his daughter play a variety of sports.
ALMH is a 25-bed critical access hospital located at 200 Stahlhut Drive in
