Haley Bernhardt is the Lincolnland Technical Education Center February Student-of-the-Month

[February 26, 2016]  LINCOLN - Haley Bernhardt, daughter of Wendy Yaeck & the late Jeff Bernhardt, was named February Student-of-the-Month for the Health Occupations program at the Lincolnland Technical Education Center. Haley is a senior at Illini Central High School.

Ms. Karen Graber, instructor, selected Haley because of her strong work ethic and dependability. Haley is caring, cheerful and considerate of her patients and others around her. She goes above & beyond what is expected. She is very sensitive to the needs of her patients. She is a dependable student and nurse. She performs the required CNA skills and is self-motivated.

Ms. Graber says that Haley is an excellent student and has an aptitude for nursing. She works well with others and will be a very capable & caring nurse. Haley is in Spanish Club and spends her time babysitting.

Haley’s future goal is to attend Lincoln Land Community College & St. Johns College of Nursing to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and to become a Registered Nurse.

Haley received a $50 dollars from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this award and honored her at a noon luncheon.
