the Atlanta Christian Church.

Obituary
Kent Holt, 68, of Waynesville, died at 8:24 a.m. on
Monday, December 28, 2015, at Advocate Christ
Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Memorial services for Mr. Holt will be held at 10:30
a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Atlanta
Christian Church. Mr. Maurice Stribling will
officiate.
Visitation will be held at Atlanta Christian Church
from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1,
2016. Additional visitation time will be held on
Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to
the memorial service.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial will be
at Rock Creek Cemetery in rural Waynesville at a
later date.
Kent Holt was born May 1, 1947, in Lincoln, the son
of Walter Paul and Mary Jean Sheets Holt. He married
Judith A. Edwards in Clinton on May 25, 1968. She
survives.

Kent is also survived by their children: Jamison (Meggan) Holt
of Clinton and Lisa (Mike) Schillinger of Palatine; six
grandchildren: Alex, Ethan, Mason, Grant, Kate, and Zach; and
six siblings: Paula West, Roger Holt, Brian (Yong) Holt, Wendy
(Dan) Mixell, Lyn (Sarah) Holt, and Lee (Carla) Holt.
Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter:
Melissa Holt.
Kent had worked for R.R. Donnelly (formerly Wallace Press) in
Clinton for twenty years. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening,
and hunting.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home of Atlanta.
