LINCOLN
- Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital proudly welcomed its first baby
of 2016 on Saturday, January 2. Erin Mason and her fiancé Chuck Ray,
both of Bloomington, welcomed their baby boy Finn at 1:47 pm. Finn
weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 ¼ inches long at birth.

Mason’s physician is Kristen Green, MD, a specialist in obstetrics
and gynecology with Springfield Clinic Lincoln. Finn is being
welcomed home by his parents and a very proud big brother,
eight-year old Parker.
Finn wasn’t due until mid-January but made an early appearance and
now shares his birthday with his big brother, Parker, who was born
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2008. While the
two now share a birthday, only one will has bragging rights as the
first baby of the New Year. Parker was the second baby of 2008.
As the first baby born at ALMH in 2016, Finn was the recipient of
several gifts. The ALMH Auxiliary presented Finn and his family with
a basket of baby items. ALMH also gifted the family a supply of
diapers and Chamber bucks. Like every baby born at ALMH, Finn also
received a handmade quilt from Friendship Manor residents and a
crocheted hat from ALMH volunteer Ruby Glickerman.

While Mason has lived in Bloomington for around two years, she was born and
raised in Lincoln and knew that she wanted to have her second baby at ALMH. “I
knew I wanted to stay with Dr. Green. Everyone here is so great. They were
wonderful for the entire experience. It’s such a personal experience here,” said
Mason.
