LINCOLN
- For something new in 2016, REPS Gym, at 300 South McLean Street in
Lincoln, is getting flexible. Starting January 30th and continuing
every last Saturday of the month, they will be offering a free
community yoga class from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
|
Partnering with their yoga instructor, Caitlin Lore, the owners
of REPS gym believe that wellness practices are beneficial to
everyone. For that reason, they want to make yoga accessible to the
community. Yoga has many benefits besides just increasing
flexibility and balance. It has been shown to reduce stress, lower
blood pressure, release tension, and boost the immune system among
other numerous health benefits.
Caitlin Lore is a master yoga instructor and offers a relaxed feel
to her classes. Part of her mission in teaching yoga is helping
others understand how beneficial yoga is as a physical exercise
while breaking many of the stigmas associated with the practice. She
wants others to understand the importance of yoga in overall health
and wellness, and feels that a community class is a great way to
invite others to try the practice.

The community yoga class is geared for all levels, age 16 and up,
and there is no fee for the class nor do participants have to be
members of the gym. Beginners and even those who have never tried
yoga are welcome to attend. One of Lore’s teaching beliefs is that
yoga is not for the flexible, but the willing.
A few mats will be provided.
