In the 7th grade game, the Wolverines (11-7) outlasted the Aces
24-20, getting 14 points and 7 steals from Patrick McCraith to lead
all scorers.
Lucas Konczyk scored 8 points while grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds
and Scotty Battin scored 2 points in the victory.
The 7th grade team moves on to play the Chester-East Lincoln
Panthers on Thursday night, in the third place game of the 7th grade
county conference tournament. That game tips at 6:00 at Jack D. Nutt
Arena on the campus of Lincoln College.
Between the contests tonight, Tami Schilling honored her three
eighth grade cheerleaders as they walked out onto the floor,
escorted by their parents. Both coaches want to wish good luck in
high school to Madelyn Koehler, Brooke Montcalm, and Adrian Tiffany
and thank them for their support of the boys basketball teams.
In the nightcap, the 8th grade Wolverines (15-1) played a tough,
physical game and came out on top 40-29.
Once again, balanced scoring led WLB as three Wolverines reached
double figures (Kameron Whiteman 11, Kaden Froebe 10, and Justin
Long 10).

Draden Pozgai scored 4 points while grabbing a team-high 11
rebounds. Payton Anderson (3) and Joe Dalpoas (2) also scored for
the Wolverines in the win.
The eighth grade team now moves on to play Saturday in the 8th grade
Logan County Conference Tournament. They enter as the #1 seed and
will face the winner of the 10 a.m. matchup between Carroll Catholic
and Hartsburg-Emden.
