Lady Toppers Win at Home

[January 15, 2016]    MOUNT PULASKI - The Mount Pulaski High School Lady Toppers basketball team faced the Riverton Lady Hawks in a rematch from early in the year, Thursday night, and came away with another victory 50 – 28.

The 22 – 18 lead at half time was not nearly as comfortable as Coach Leever had expected. After the half-time pep-talk, the Toppers settled down and went to work outscoring the Hawks 28 – 10 in the second half.

Skylar Hayes led all scorers with 33, followed by Alyssa Bridge with 8, Breanna Rentmeister 4, Hailey Moore 3, and Ashley Houser 2. Bridge led the Toppers in rebounds with 7, while Rentmeister brought down 6, Hayes 5 and Seibert 5 in the effort.
