Wolverines win two at home

[January 17, 2016]    LINCOLN - The West Lincoln-Broadwell 8th Grade Wolverines (16-) entered Saturday's Logan County Conference at Lincoln College as the #1 seed and dispatched the 4th seeded Crusaders by a final of 53-30.

Dreyden Poszgai scored 14 points and ripped down 8 boards in the victory, while Kameron Whiteman scored 7 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and handed out 7 assists for the Wolverines. Also scoring for WLB was Kaden Froebe (13), Justin Long (11), Payton Anderson (3), Lucas Konczyk (3), and Joe Dalpoas (2).

The Wolverines will host the Bruins from Mount Pulaski on Tuesday for a regular season contest before heading back to Lincoln College to play the Chester-East Lincoln Panthers in the Championship game of the 8th Grade Conference Tournament. The Championship game tips at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday's home game vs. Mount Pulaski will be 8th grade night. The players will be introduced between games and walk with their parents. Please come and support these student athletes and thank them for their dedication to the basketball program.
