Obituary
Melva May Behrens, 58, passed away at 8:36 a.m. on
January 17, 2016 at her home in Mount Pulaski.
Melva was born on April 26, 1957 in Peoria, the
daughter of Max West and Betty Taylor West. She was
united in marriage to Roger Behrens on June 7, 1990
in Decatur. He survives.
Also surviving Melva are her siblings, Jack (Diane)
West, Bill (Vicky) West, Ed (Pam) West, Marsha
(Jeff) Thomas, and Scott (Cindy) West.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
beloved daughter, Nicki; her sister, Linda; and her
brother, Orville.

Melva was a very caring person, as a hairdresser for
many years she would find the time to help cancer
patients with their hair. Melva was also her
happiest when she would be lying on a beach and
simply enjoying the weather.
Cremation rites have been accorded with
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
Memorial donations may be made in Melva’s name to
Victory Junction Gang Camp.
