July 6 (The Sports Xchange) -
Longtime NBA sharpshooting guard Ray Allen is considering making a
comeback, including the possibility of joining the Golden State
Warriors or the Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to ESPN league sources, the future Hall of Famer's
representatives reached out to Golden State, but the Warriors are
unsure whether they want to pursue Allen, who will turn 41 on July
20.
Allen's representatives also contacted the Cavaliers to inform the
NBA champions that their client is anticipating a return to
basketball after a two-year break, league sources told
Cleveland.com.
Allen also would consider joining the San Antonio Spurs and Los
Angeles Clippers, according to the reports.
Allen averaged 9.6 points for the Heat in 2013-14, his final season.

Dwyane Wade was scheduled to host several meetings Wednesday in New
York, including a one-on-one with Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, as
his dramatic foray into free agency nears a final turn.
Acrimony between the 34-year-old pillar of the franchise and Heat
management simmered to the surface when Miami offered a contract not
to the liking of Wade, who has never been the highest-paid player on
the roster.
Wade, a 12-time All-Star, had made over $300 million in total salary
since he was drafted in the first round out of Marquette in 2003,
but always played second fiddle on Arison's books to help build the
roster around him.

Wade reportedly asked for at least two years, $50 million. Miami's
most recent known offer was two years, $40 million

Los Angeles Clippers guard C.J. Wilcox fractured his right hand and
is scheduled to have surgery on Friday, according to the Orange
County Register.
Wilcox, who is entering his third NBA season, averaged 3.0 points,
0.4 assists and 7.3 minutes in 23 games for the Clippers this past
season.

The Golden State Warriors signed guard Patrick McCaw to a rookie
contract.
McCaw, 20, was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 38th overall
selection in the NBA Draft on June 23 and he was acquired by the
Warriors that same night in exchange for cash consideration.
