[July 13, 2016]  HERBER SPRINGS, AR - Ronald Ray Scott of Quitman, AR, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on July 1, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Little Rock, AR.

Visitation:  4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday July 8, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 9, at New Hope Cemetery in Easton

Obituary

Ronald Ray Scott of Quitman, AR, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on July 1, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Little Rock, AR.

Ronald was born April 1, 1941 in Manito, Illinois the son of Lloyd E. and Rose Myers Scott. Ronald married Jean Naylor on August 16, 2005 in Hopewell, AR. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Raymond Scott of Lincoln and Rosemary Langley of Springfield and step children; Franklin Naylor of Mt. Pulaski, Melody (David) Reed of Illiopolis, Beverly Parker of Hopewell AR., Tracy Hutchinson of Heber Springs AR, and Penny (Steve) Patten of Vienna, IL, five grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren, twenty-five step great-grandchildren, and five step great-great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Douglas Scott.

Ronald retired from the State of Illinois. He was a member of Lincoln Moose Lodge and Eagle Lodge #2708.

Graveside services for Ronald will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2016, officiated by Mark Weber at New Hope Cemetery in Easton, IL. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday July 8, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations may be made in Ronald’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
