July 15 (The Sports Xchange) - The New York Rangers agreed to terms
with free agent forward Josh Jooris and re-signed restricted free
agent defenseman Dylan McIlrath on Friday.
Jooris, 26, skated in 59 games with the Calgary Flames this past
season, registering four goals, nine assists and 39 penalty minutes.
McIlrath, 24, played in 34 games with the Rangers last season, with
two goals, two assists and 64 penalty minutes.
The Rangers also agreed to terms with restricted free agent
defenseman Tommy Hughes.

The Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Petr Straka to a one-year
contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Straka, who will be competing
in his fourth season in the organization.
The 24-year-old Czech notched two assists in a three-game stint with
the Flyers after being recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American
Hockey League on Jan. 27, 2015.

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed goaltender Garret Sparks to a
one-year, two-way contract.

Financial
terms were not disclosed for Sparks, who became the first Maple
Leafs goaltender to record a shutout in his NHL debut after making
24 saves in a 3-0 win over Edmonton on Nov. 30, 2015.
The 23-year-old finished his rookie season with a 6-9-1 mark, a 3.02
goals-against average and .893 save percentage.

The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with forward Mark McNeill to
a one-year contract.
McNeill, 23, spent last season with the Rockford IceHogs of the
American Hockey League, recording a team-high 25 goals, along with
23 assists, in 64 games.
McNeill made his NHL debut this past season with the Blackhawks on
