July 15 (The Sports Xchange) - The Detroit Pistons rewarded Andre
Drummond for his All-Star season by signing the center to a
multi-year contract on Friday.
While the team did not divulge the terms of the deal, ESPN reported
earlier this month that the contract is for five years and $130
million.
Drummond averaged career highs in points (16.2) and rebounds (14.8),
with the latter total leading the league last season. The
22-year-old also logged a personal-best 32.9 minutes per game in
2015-16.
Named to the All-NBA Third Team last season, Drummond was the third
Piston to lead the NBA in rebounds. Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace
were the others.

The Atlanta Hawks re-signed forward Kris Humphries and inked guards
Jarrett Jack and Malcolm Delaney to contracts. Terms of the deals
were not disclosed by the club.

Humphries,
31, averaged 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21 games with the Hawks
last season. Jack averaged 12.8 points and 7.4 assists in 32 games
for Brooklyn last season.
Delaney averaged 14.6 points and 4.9 assists last season for the
Russian team Lokomotiv Kuban.
The Hawks also signed first-round draft picks Taurean Prince and
DeAndre' Bembry to contracts. Terms of the deals were not disclosed
for Prince and Bembry, who were the respective 12th and 21st overall
selections of the 2016 draft.

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired center Sasha Kaun and cash
considerations from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for the
rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum, the 76ers announced.
Kaun appeared in 25 games for Cleveland in the 2015-16 season and
averaged one point and one rebound in four minutes per contest.
