The Chicago Bears added depth along the offensive line Wednesday, signing ex-Carolina Panthers guard Amini Silatolu to a one-year contract.

The team also waived quarterback Dalyn Williams.

Silatolu, 27, spent the past four seasons in Carolina, playing 34 games and making 28 starts. He was an All-Rookie team honoree after the Panthers made him the 40th overall pick (second round) in the 2012 draft.

Last season, Silatolu appeared in nine games and made three starts before his season ended early due to a torn left anterior cruciate ligament.

He spent his college years with San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, Calif., and then with Division II Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Williams was signed by Chicago as an undrafted rookie out of Dartmouth earlier this year. He was with the Bears in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
