			- Richard “Dick” Joseph Pokorski a.k.a. “Mr. Bodacious”, 88, of 
			Lincoln left this life on July 21, 2016, at 3:30 a.m. at Timber 
			Creek Village Assisted Living.

							Richard “Dick” Joseph Pokorski a.k.a. “Mr. 
							Bodacious”, 88, of Lincoln left this life on July 
							21, 2016, at 3:30 a.m. at Timber Creek Village 
							Assisted Living. 
							 
							Mr. Pokorski was his class president and worked for 
							Harwick's Furniture while in High School, then for 
							Frank Hinman Construction as a master carpenter for 
							20 years and then retired from the State of Illinois 
							as a Stationary Engineer with 26 years of service. 
							 
							Throughout his life he enjoyed, golfing, fishing and 
							most importantly being with family. 
							 
							He was born June 28, 1928, in Lincoln to Frank and 
							Pearl (Kible) Pokorski. He married the love of his 
							life, Donna Jean Webster on January 27, 1953, in 
							Lincoln. She survives. 
							 
							Other survivors are two sons, Jeff (and Linell) 
							Pokorski, David Pokorski, and a daughter Carol 
							Johnson; four grandchildren, Bret Pokorski (Natalie 
							Notto, girlfriend), Kristin Pokorski (Aaron Shmikler, 
							fiancé), Joel Johnson and Jordan (and Shannon 
							McCrocklin) Johnson. He is also survived by many 
							nephews and nieces.  | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							He was the last member of his family. He was 
							preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, 
							Joseph “Joe” Pokorski and Frank "Bud" Pokorski; 
							three sisters, Mary “Sis” Miller, Agnes “Aggie” 
							Lohrenz and Virginia "Tootie" Rohlfs. 
							 
							He deeply loved and trusted in God to guide him 
							through his life. One of his favorite sayings was 
							“Watch your step and Trust in the Lord”. 
							 
							Cremation rites will be accorded. A private 
							graveside service will be held at a later date at 
							Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln. 
							 
							The family wants to express a special thanks to 
							Timber Creek Assisted Living staff, his private 
							caretakers and Memorial Hospice staff. Memorials may 
							be made to Timber Creek Village Assisted Living or 
							Memorial Home Hospice.  
							 
							Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln.
