Obituary
Hubert Dale Stoll, 90, a resident of Timber Creek
Village in Lincoln, was welcomed to his heavenly
home by his Savior at 2:36 p.m. on July 20, 2016.
Hubert was born on May 16, 1926 in Chestnut, son of
Otto Matthew and Lillie Anna Dittus Stoll. He
married N. Jean Hatcher on June 26, 1949 in
Springfield. She preceded him in death on September
21, 2006.
Surviving him are his children: Dennis Stoll of
Chestnut, Cheryl (Jim) Poffenbarger of Mount
Pulaski, Klista (Raymond) Hegele of Springfield,
Brenda (Allyn) Colantino of Springfield, Kenton
(Marcia) Stoll of Chestnut, Kerwyn (Karen) Stoll of
Mattoon, Deanna (Larry) Pratt of Cropsey, and Rodney
Stoll of Savoy. Also surviving is a sister Aurelia
Stoll of Mount Pulaski; Twenty six grandchildren;
twenty four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents, two infant grandchildren, and
three infant great grandchildren.

Hubert was a grain and registered Holstein dairy
farmer at Hubacres in Chestnut. He was a lifetime
member of the Holstein Association USA, a member of
Zion Lutheran Church of Chestnut and the Lutheran
Laymen’s League. Hubert volunteered with Laborers
for Christ, was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S.
Army during the occupation of Japan, and was a
member of the Chestnut/Beason American Legion Post
#848. During the past ten years, Hubert thoroughly
enjoyed emailing daily devotions to family and
friends.
Services for Hubert will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July
25, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, with
Rev. David Dunlop officiating. Visitation will be
from 2:00 p.m.-5:00p.m. Sunday July 24, 2016 at the
Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski. Burial at
Laenna Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials
may be made in Hubert’s name to Zion Lutheran Church
of Chestnut, The Lutheran Hour, or Mt. Pulaski Zion
Lutheran School.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
