Andy said he wanted to do something that his dad (Scott Brown)
hasn't done i.e. marathons. A year ago he set his sights on the Lake
Placid Triathlon. Andy had never participated in a marathon or any
long distance races of this magnitude inspiring him to train for a
year prior to this race. He told his Dad that he just wanted to
complete the distance and finish the race.
He did and beat his personal expectations on the swim and a very
tough, hilly bike and run. His progress on race day was followed on
Facebook by several Lincoln residents and others throughout the
state of Illinois
Andy is a Lincoln Taekwondo 4th degree Black Belt. He currently
resides in Toronto, Ontario as a Marketing Representative for
Caterpillar with his wife, Kami.
