Also beginning at 1 p.m. and running until 5 p.m. is a new event
this year - a Soft Ball Tournament at the Oly West ball field. Teams
will be co-ed for those 16 years or older. The Olympia area churches
will field the teams, but they want the public to know that all are
welcome to join a team and enjoy the fun. The churches include St.
Johns, Minier Christian, Assembley of God, Covell Christian, and
Armington Christian. Our thanks to the community ministerial
committee for organizing the tournament!
Another new event from noon to 4 p.m. is BINGO. St. John's has
graciously offered the use of their Faith Fellowship Hall. And,
while you're there, you can view the art work on display. Thanks,
St. John's for your generosity.
Let's not forget the kids! There will be many activities for them as
well: Magician Chris Bohne, the Balloon Artist, the Face Painters
will all be back again this year.
Starting at noon, kids can sign up for the Pedal Tractor Races;
children ages 4 and up are eligible. Races begin at 1 p.m.
