							Roger E. Bay, 77, of Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, 
							May 17, 2016 at 5:17 a.m. at The Christian Village 
							in Lincoln.
 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on 
							Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at American 
							Legion Post #263 in Lincoln. The family will greet 
							friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Legion.
 
 Cremation Rites have been accorded.
 
 Roger Ellis Bay was born October 3, 1938 in Flora, 
							Illinois, the son of Sylvester Ellis and Juanita 
							Romaine Rodgers Bay. He was united in marriage to 
							Patricia Ann Sullivan on December 22, 1979 in 
							Lincoln. She survives.
 
 Also surviving are his children: Nicholas (Sheri) 
							Bay of Lincoln, Brian Culnan of Laramie, Wyo., and 
							Karen (Jeff) Flagg of Greeley, Colo., one sister: 
							Linda Janine (Stephen) Taylor of Flora, four 
							grandchildren: Ross Keys, Jordan Flagg, Brienna 
							Culnan, and Alex Culnan; and one great-grandchild: 
							Ellis Michael Keys.

							Roger graduated from Flora High School in 1956. He 
							later graduated from Southern Illinois University in 
							Carbondale. He served in the United States Army and 
							the Illinois National Guard. 
							Roger retired from the Illinois Department of 
							Revenue in 2001 after 33 years of service. He has 
							been affiliated with Lincoln Land Catering for many 
							years.
 He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church, 
							American Legion Post #263 where he was currently 
							serving as the Commander. He was very active in the 
							American Legion Post #263 Honor Guard.

							Post #263.
 
 Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with
