Obituary
Josephine E. Leesman, 97, of Lincoln passed away on
June 1, 2016 at The Christian Village Nursing Home,
Lincoln.
Josephine was born August 24, 1918 in Bement, IL the
daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Roche) Denney. She
married Virgil Leesman on May 6, 1939 in St. Louis,
MO. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1993.
Josephine is survived by her daughter, Beverly
(Tony) Vespa of Richardson, TX; her granddaughter,
Jennifer (Larry) Conway of Fairview, TX; great
grandchildren: Parker and Jordan Conway; her three
sisters, Mary Wright, Emily Hickey, and Marjorie
(Elmer) Osborn; and one brother, Charles (Betty)
Denney. She was preceded in death by her parents and
husband.
Josephine was a retired teacher; she taught in rural
and city of Lincoln schools for 37 years. |
Services for Josephine will be held at 11:00 am on
Saturday June 4, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln, officiated by Ryan Edgecombe.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am on
Saturday June 4, 2016 also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow service at Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Josephine’s name
to The American Cancer Society.
