The 6’0” 3rd team All-Stater averaged 18.4 points per game
while handing out 5.0 assists per game and adding 3.9 steals per
game. Tyler graduates as the 11th all-time leading scorer at
Rockford Auburn High School.
“Without Tray embracing the mantle of leadership, we would never
have been in contention to go to State,” said Tyler’s high
school head coach Bryan Ott. “Tray led an unlikely collection of
young, small, totally inexperienced players to the cusp of
playing for a state championship. He went from sixth man as a
junior to a superstar as a senior. I have never been more proud
of any player!”
Tyler led the Knights to a 25-8 overall record and 13-3 in the
NIC-10. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and also to the
IBCA All-Star Game. Tyler was named to the All-Tournament team
at the Hinsdale Central Holiday Classic and the RPS Tipoff
Tournament.
“We are extremely excited about the addition of Tray to our
program,” said LC head coach Pat Lepper. “He brings a winning
mentality and toughness to the team.”
