James Allen Wright Sr., 77, of Petersburg, passed away on May 28, 2016, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg. Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home, Lincoln. There will be no services at this time.

James was born April 4, 1939, in Lincoln, the son of Leonial G. Wright and Dorothy M Humbert. He married Sherry Thresher on September 18, 2004, in Union. He was an auto body mechanic for several places in Logan County. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2708.

Surviving are his wife Sherry Wright of Petersburg; children James Allen Wright Jr. (Val Huffman) of Lincoln, Ed Wright (Janis) of Lincoln, Mike Wright of Havana, Rex Wright (Vicky) of Lincoln, stepsons Eric Power of Petersburg and Terry Power (Rachel) of Petersburg, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings Kay Skelton of San Jose, Russell Wright (Beth) of Lincoln, and Bobby Wright of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Shirley Wright, and his sister Jo Ann Schrader.
